Watch Baloo Grow Feathers

This is Baloo on February 24.
There are a few signs of regression.

We can see a patch of thinner down on the body
under this wing.  Floating filaments in the air have been fewer in recent days as the primary caregiver's recovery from an in-home accident facilitates improved environment.

Baloo is maintaining new leg feathers on the left leg well and several new neck feathers appear very white here as the patch of feathers covering the head grows downward.  Baloo did clip off the large contour
that would have been three inches or so above this leg.

Baloo is taking good care of
the new feathers on her left leg.

Here we can see the
growing patches of
feathers extending
down from the head.

Here, we can see nice
 white new contour feathers extending
down the nape of the neck
just above the patch of "plumed"
 down feathers on her back.

She has not trimmed off
the broken back contour
 we have previously observed.

New two new tail feathers
 -- on the outsides --
can be seen here.
